The Materialdienst des Konfessionskundlichen Instituts Bensheim (MdKI) has published a new issue on the theme of “Just Peace” (Gerechter Friede), featuring contributions from a range of confessional perspectives. This issue builds on some of the contributions from the Scripture and Theology panel, “Just Peace in the Perspective of Different Church Traditions,” held on June 20, 2023, during the European Academy of Religion in St Andrews, Scotland.
The contributions explore what “Just Peace” means for different church traditions, reflecting critically on theological concepts and their practical implications. While engaging perspectives from Roman Catholic, Lutheran, and Free Church contexts, the issue also includes voices from Anglican, Mennonite, Orthodox, and Pentecostal traditions.
This issue offers valuable insights into the diverse ways churches conceptualize and practice “Just Peace,” addressing contemporary challenges of war, violence, and injustice.
We encourage our readers to explore this rich and thought-provoking publication.
