Following our panel on Alister McGrath’s The Nature of Christian Doctrine last year in Palermo, we are pleased to announce the publication of a Special Issue in IJST. This issue features contributions from Knut Alfsvag, Tomas Bokedal, Mark Elliott, Arnold Huijgen, Alister McGrath, Gijsbert van den Brink, and Frances Young. The first chapters are already available online (see: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/14682400). The remaining chapters are with the publisher and will be published online in the coming weeks. A print version of the Special Issue will appear next year. The editors are Michael Borowski and Gijsbert van den Brink.
From this year’s conference in Vienna, we are preparing a second Special Issue on Frances Young’s Doctrine and Scripture in Early Christianity. Contributors are Tomas Bokedal, Mark Elliott, Ian McFarland, Alister McGrath, Mark DelCogliano, John Behr and Frances Young. The manuscript will be submitted to IJST by May 2026, after which the papers will be made available online. The editors are Hans Burger and Michael Borowski.
A third Special Issue for IJST is also in preparation, though the book to be discussed is still under debate. If you have suggestions, please contact Michael Borowski. We anticipate hosting a preparatory panel at next year’s EABS meeting in Leuven and/or EuARe meeting in Rome.
We thank all our contributors and, in particular, Alister McGrath and Frances Young for their generous participation in these discussions. Our thanks also go to IJST, especially to Daniel Gordon, Han-luen Kantzer Komline, Matthew Levering, and Paul Nimmo.
